Sort of on Hiatus

Hi friends,

Most of you know that I have been quite inactive lately. There are a few reasons for this:

First, I am one of the maids of honor in my cousin’s wedding so I’ve been pretty busy with that. We just had the Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party last weekend. Then I spent a full day traveling to get back to Philly and then I went back to work the next morning.

Work is the second reason. It’s Commencement season and I am the keeper of tickets. We had our Graduation Fair the day that I got back so I didn’t even get to go to my office. Now that I am back in the office I had to catch up on email and now I get interrupted any time I do anything because people are coming for their tickets.

Work is also my 3rd reason. Between my big girl job and my second job, I often go weeks without a day off. My second job has also decided to make every Saturday in June all hands on deck. One of the managers there is also pissing me off so I might end up quitting soon tbh.

Basically I’m tired. I’m going to try to write behind the scenes and read your blogs but if you don’t hear from me, I’m alive….sort of. My blogversary is coming up so I’m going to try to NOT forget this year. I will also be looking for Summer Spotlight candidates soon.

OMG, I feel you on the bridesmaid/Maid of Honor duty. I’m also jealous of your Philly trip (they have some of the best vegetarian food!).

Keep your head up & keep pushing forward. You’ve got this!! ❤

    • I live in Philly! There is some pretty good vegetarian and vegan food here. I’ve enjoyed trying them.

Ugh, wedding will be over in a month!!

Ahhh! I’m jealous of the Philly-ness! It’s like NYC, as far as food is concerned – you either have good food, or you’re gone. LOL

I’m sure it’s a bundle of nerves & stress & fun. You’re so close to the finish line. I might have said this to you (I say it to everyone), but it bears repeating: Chances are good that something will go wrong on the wedding day; at the end of the day, all that matters is that they marry the person they love. (Example: I had the photographer we’d hired have to cancel while I was getting my hair done for my wedding. I was perfectly OK with it, because I was in love with the man I married – despite it turning out terrible… twice… lol)

      • Omg if you ever wanted to visit once I have my apartment you are more than welcome!

It is exactly all of those things. But luckily I work weddings so I know how to do damage control. Omg that’s awful, I hope they cancelled for a good reason. Wow talk about stress.

OMG, FOR REAL?? OMG! I haven’t been to Philly since 2005 (ironically, right around the time I was filing for divorce/annulment LOL). If you don’t mind me crashing on your couch & generally being ridiculous, that would be so awesome!

Thank goodness your bride friend has you in her corner! You know all the ins & outs!

Yeah, the photographer cancelled the morning of the wedding because his mother was in the hospital, dying. I felt so bad for him, I wasn’t even upset. I was saying that everyone had cell phone cameras & it would all be OK, but my future mother-in-law hired someone. The photos turned out fantastic, I must admit (although, I heard my MiL didn’t pay the photographer in the end; she’s that type of person 🙄 ).

      • Yes!!!! I will let you know as soon as I find one. The search has been more stressful than I ever expected but it’s going. I found a really awesome one that I’m hoping to get to see this week or next!

Oh my goodness, that’s so sad. The fact that a replacement was found at the last minute i s kind of awesome though!

SQUEE!! I’ll be sure to bring a housewarming gift! I imagine finding housing in Philly is ridiculous. It must be so expensive, & you don’t want to find a roommate…. ugh! Good luck in your search! ❤

It was really sad, but with a beautiful ending. I have to say, I wish I knew who the photographer was – he did such amazing work. The pictures are… breathtaking, even if the event isn't something I care to remember now.

      • It’s so hard omg, I was not prepared for how difficult it would be. I
m hoping I can get this one that I found online. I’m trying to see it this week before Commencement

At least your day at the time turned out good. That’s all that matters

Fingers crossed on your apartment hunt!

That’s what I always say when people are freaking out on/before their wedding day. In the end, all that matters is the person you’re marrying & the fun you have.
