14th Deadly Sin by James Patterson & Maxine Paetro
After her near-death experience, Yuki is seeing her life from a new perspective and is considering a change in her law career. San Francisco Chronicle reporter Cindy has healed from her gunshot wound and has published a book on the infamous serial killers she helped to bring down. Lindsay is just happy that the gang are all still in one piece.
But a new terror is sweeping the streets of San Francisco. A gang dressed as cops are ransacking the city, and leaving a string of dead bodies in their wake. Lindsay is on the case to track them down and needs to discover whether these killers could actually be police officers. Maybe even cops she already knows..
As per usual I am still impressed at how good the cases are. I also love when cases are connected.
I was actually surprised that the Windbreaker Cops case was done by actual cops. I assumed that that was just how the robbers wanted to throw people off of their track. I didn’t think it was actually them. I also didn’t even put that together until Yuki’s client mentioned the tattoo on one of the cop’s necks. I wonder where Vasquez is…
Claire’s Birthday Murders was an interesting one. I’m glad Joe caught the guy.
While I’m glad that both Joe and Lindsay made it out of sticky situation, it annoys me that Joe did what he did right after yelling at Lindsay for it. I’m not here for the double standards. I also want to know when she is going to tell him that a drug lord is after her…? I feel like that’s kind of important….Just a little.
Yuki and Brady kind of pissed me off in this one too. Your wife has a near death experience for the first time and decides that she wants a job with meaning and you get mad at her for it? Granted, she was going to sue the police department but still. Brady didn’t know that at the time.
I’m glad that Rich and Cindy are back together but I wonder how that will go with the whole kid thing. I guess we’ll see.
