So far I have read six novels and four novels that Marissa Meyer has written. This includes The Lunar Chronicles (a full (spoil free) review can be found here) and Heartless (I did not review it, but gave it 3 stars).

I loved The Lunar Chronicles. I had heard such great things about it and I couldn’t wait to start reading it. I love the way that she’s taken these classic stories that (almost) everyone knows and made it modern and high tech. I think she did a fantastic job with it and (most) of the novellas added to the storyline that she created and sprinkled in nice little details.

As for Heartless, it started off very slow for me but eventually started to get interesting. I’ve never read Alice in Wonderland though so I don’t really remember much about the Queen of Hearts aside from “off with their head!” but I did really enjoy the story, and the characters.

I really love Meyers imagination. The only thing that I don’t like is that sometimes. in the middle of a story, I sometimes get a little bored because I feel like nothing’s really happening. I felt that way, not only with Heartless, but also a bit in Cinder and throughout most of Cress.

Marissa Meyer’s gets a 3 out of 5 stars
