A lot of people are claiming to be “surprised” by the Neo-Nazi, alt-right riots that are taking place. To those people, I have to ask……..was it really so easy for you to “forget” that this country was built on the backs of black and brown people? Native Americans were slaughtered for it. Africans were enslaved for it. I mean, do I really need to run through a list of America’s racial injustices just to remind you of the truth?

This is the very foundation that this “great” country was built on. Stop saying you’re surprised and open your eyes. Pay attention. Listen to the voices of people of color that are still constantly ignored. We’ve been addressing this our entire lives, we don’t get to ignore it. This shit isn’t new. This IS America.
