Novella Review: The Little Android (The Lunar Chronicles #0.6)

The Little Android by Marissa Meyer

19208103

Synopsis:

When android Mech6.0 saves the life of a handsome hardware engineer, her body is destroyed and her mechanics discover a glitch in her programming. Androids aren’t meant to develop impractical reasoning or near-emotional responses…let alone fall in love.

~SPOILER ALERT~

This one was a bit slow for me.

I understand the parallel between Mech6.0/Star and Ariel and all. However, I wasn’t a fan of her blind jealousy when it came to Miko. She had a crush on someone who was already taken. I almost hate that more than I hate love triangles.

I was not expecting Miko to be a cyborg though. Nice surprise there.

So what happened at the end? She disguised herself as Miko and took her place? How though, I wish there were more details.

I also have a question for anyone who has read this series. Are they all interconnected or are they separate? Are Miko and Dataran going to appear in Cinder? Are characters from Cinder going to also be in Scarlet or are the fairy tales separate? Just curious.

2.75 out of 5 stars.

I will finally be reading Cinder next.
