This or That? #81

For anyone who needs a reminder or is new to the Bookmark Chronicles, here are the rules: Every Monday I will post a This or That Challenge where we will choose between two characters or scenarios. On Friday we will see which scenario/character wins. Feel free to either comment your choice below or make your own post and link it back here! :)

By no means do you have to feel obligated to do every single challenge, but I would love to hear all of your opinions! If you can only really talk about one scenario then go for it. Also, if you have any suggestions or would like to write a guest post about any of the This or That? topics let me know!

Do you reread books often?

(By often, I mean are there multiple books that you have read more than twice)

This is a huge no for me. I’ve reread some books before but it’s not something that I do often.

When I was little and I ran out of books to read, I would reread Number the Stars by Lois Lowry. That is the only book that I have read more than twice and I’ll probably never read it again.

I also reread the Harry Potter series this summer. That was because I started reading them in the first grade and had to wait years in between the books because I read them as they were released. Now that I have read them a second time I probably won’t again.

I’m not a particularly fast reader so for me, rereading books is a waste of time. There are so many books that I haven’t read yet, I don’t see the point in reading something that I’m already familiar with when I could introduced to something new ya know?

What about you? Are you a rereader? Let me know!

  1. There’s only a few books/series that I’ve reread. Harry Potter, LOTR, and some of Jane Austen’s books.💁🏻

  2. I used to be a loud and proud NO! Now, however, I’ll reread books when I need a break from everything – including reading. Weird, I know.

  5. There are definitely a couple of books I w re-read like Twilight and Ugly Love. I usually try to get the audiobook if it’s a re-read. I might make a post about this later lol

When I need something comforting or nostalgic to read I’ll re-read my childhood favourites, The Chronicles of Narnia, When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit and the Silver Sword. Also for the last few Christmas/Holiday season I’ve re-listened to Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol.

I’m right there with you, Rae. I have far too many “new” books to read to reread books. Even books (like Harry Potter) that I want to reread.

  10. I can reread some but most of the books I read, the appeal is guessing what is going to happen at the end. If you have already read it, that’s kind of a moot point.
