Hi friends,
Soon I’m going to be writing posts that are much different from what I usually do. The reason is that (in my mind) if I write updates for it then I will be able to hold myself accountable a little bit better.
I started doing a workout program a few weeks ago and was doing really well but since I’ve recently moved I kind of fell off the wagon.
I’m supposed to be moving again (not as far) soon but I don’t think that it will have to much of an impact this time around. I’ve decided that I want to try the Paleo diet for at least a month in addition to the exercise program. My exercise mat arrived today and my adjustable dumbbells were shipped this morning.
For the record, I do want to lose a little weight although the reason that I’ve gained any weight at all is because I have Hashimoto’s Disease. So I’m kind of using this as an excuse to live healthier.
I have 3 workout programs that I’ve purchased from FitnessBlender that I am ready to commit to. Those include:
- FB30 – 8 week fat loss program. Daily workouts that target the entire body 30 minutes or less
- FB Abs – 4 week core program. Targets abs, obliques and lower back
- FB Booty – 4 week lower body program. Targets butt and thighs

I’m not quite sure when I’ll start (waiting for the weights to get here) I’m hoping on the 23rd because it’s a Monday and I would be able to jump right into the program. But when I do, I will be writing weekly updates to track progress and such.
Just so you guys aren’t wondering why the hell a feminist/book blogger is suddenly talking about workout routines 🙂

I’ve been thinking I need to do some kind of working out, so I might give this one a try. I’ve been using the “Fitness Marshall” on YouTube and he’s a lot of fun. I’m not sure he’s targeting specific areas though, especially if you’re looking for a specific work out.

It’s great that you’re taking these steps to feel healthier. I’ve heard good things about the Paleo diet & I’d like to hear what dietary changes you’re making.
