This or That? #68

In case anyone needs a reminder or is new to the Bookmark Chronicles, here are the rules: Every Monday I will post a This or That Challenge where we will choose between two characters or scenarios. On Friday we will see which scenario/character wins. Feel free to either comment your choice below or make your own post and link it back here! :)

By no means do you have to feel obligated to do every single challenge, but I would love to hear all of your opinions! If you can only really talk about one scenario then go for it. Also, if you have any suggestions or would like to write a guest post about any of the This or That? topics let me know!

This week I want to know…..

Have you ever read or written fan fiction?

If so, what was it about?

My answer this week is no. Technically 50 Shades started as Twilight fanfic but since it became it’s own trilogy and movie series, I hardly think that counts.

Someone had given me a link to their fan fiction once but I never made it past the first two chapters. It was wonderfully written but I sort of didn’t care enough to finish because I knew it wasn’t the “real” story if that makes sense.

I don’t mind fan fiction but I don’t thin that I could ever get into it. Especially if it strays from the author’s story, I just don’t think that I could enjoy it. Even if I didn’t agree with the author’s ending *Veronica Roth* I could still accept it because they are the ones that created the world and the characters so it ends the way that they intended it to.

What about you? Have you ever read of written fanfic? If you’d like to share links feel free to do so!

I have read quite a bit of Supernatural fan fiction, but I’ve never written any myself. I go back and forth with the idea of it.

No, I don’t think so, ever. On either accounts.

No, I haven’t. I’m with you – I compare it to the “original” work & I can’t get into it for that reason.

I’ve written Star Trek vs Star Wars fan fiction… I never did finish the story I was telling.
