This or That? #56

In case anyone needs a reminder or is new to the Bookmark Chronicles, here are the rules: Every Monday I will post a This or That Challenge where we will choose between two characters or scenarios. On Friday we will see which scenario/character wins. Feel free to either comment your choice below or make your own post and link it back here! :)

By no means do you have to feel obligated to do every single challenge, but I would love to hear all of your opinions! If you can only really talk about one scenario then go for it. Also, if you have any suggestions or would like to write a guest post about any of the This or That? topics let me know!

All physical copies of books have been destroyed (I’m a horrible person for saying such a thing, yeah I know)….

You can only ever read ebooks or listen to audiobooks, which would you choose?

(You can’t do both and no alternating or switching)

I would have to choose ebooks. I don’t have the attention span for audiobooks without following along in the book anyway. I do like ebooks. Physical copies are better of course but ebooks are a close second. Plus with an e-reader I an keep multiple books with me at all times.

Ebooks are also wayyy cheaper. Audible (as much as I like it) is freaking expensive and not at all worth what it costs (in my opinion).

What about you? What would you choose? Let me know!

    Yes, you are horrible 😉
Ebooks. I read too fast, so I’d get too annoyed with someone reading to me. Seriously. I’ve only ever listened to ebooks while in class, and I can barely handle it then. I’d much rather ebooks. Plus, much larger collection. Not everything is audio … that would be frustrating.

  2. RAWR! Why would you do this to us, Rae?! ugh. Fine. If I have to…. ebooks. Because I just can’t stand all the characters being read in the same voice. It bugs the goodness out of me and no one reads in the same way as the next person. You know what I mean?

I too would have to chose Ebooks. Although, I have listened to audiobooks on long trips. Some are annoying, but I have found ones that change their tone to match the characters, and it’s great. My favorite is Patrick Stewart reading A Christmas Carol. My husband listened to it with his grandma when he was a child, and I listened to it after we were married. It’s great.

  4. Ebooks. I’ve never listened to audio books and have no desire too. I’m not actually a fan of Ebooks, but if I had to choose that’s what I’d pick!

I would have to say eBooks too. There’s something about having a tangible, physical item to hold. Plus, I can make notations on my Kindle (I think? IDK, I haven’t used it to read a book yet LOL) so that I can still copy quotations I like.
