Harry Potter Month: Day 13

Day 13: Least favorite movie

Order of the Phoenix. It’s like the most boring out of books and movies and is still the longest book. WHY? I’m dreading rereading/rewatching it.

I liked the book (at least the second half, I didn’t like the beginning and I was constantly pissed off with Harry always yelling at everyone) but I didn’t like the movie at all. That being said, I didn’t really like any of the movies, so there’s also that …

  3. Well, I just finished watching Order of the Phoenix last night as part of my HP marathon before I move and it has been, by far, the worst, most boring movie of the series. For one, Harry’s an emo little sh*t! He takes all of his anger out on Ron who’s just like ‘I’m backing you up, dude! Calm down!’ And then he takes it out on Hermione when she tries to protect him and tell him he needs to tell Dumbledore about Umbridge. And all the while he’s just like ‘Dumbledore, why won’t you talk to me? But I don’t want to tell you anything serious.’ Come on! Stop being such an emo kid and be a real friend. So much for Gryffindor. Ugh!

  4. I felt really bad for Hermoine and Ron because all they were doing is trying to help Harry, but Harry just never cared and always yelled at them. If you think about it Hermoine and Ron have always helped Harry, but Harry never even said a simple thank you.

The Order of the Phoenix is too long as a book (did no one look it over and suggest cuts?), and since the film is derived from the book, the film suffers as a result.
