Day 5: Favorite Male Character and why?
I have to admit that by the end of the series I had a soft spot for Snape, and obviously Harry is a favorite but he’s the main character so it doesn’t count. Although if we’re talking favorites then I think I would probably say the Weasley Twins. I don’t know why but I love both of them. At this point I don’t really know which one though lol
After the first novel, Snape was always one of my favourites. I don’t know why, but I always believed he was innocent, I always believed there was more to him than meets the eye. And I definitely agree with you, the Weasley twins were amazing. I was devastated when Fred died. Absolutely, soul-crushingly devastated.
I think though, in non-human terms, Dobby is my favourite. He was so brave, good and kind and he died saving others.
In human-terms, I’d say Neville. He had such an amazing character development arch. In some ways, I feel he was braver than Harry. He overcame so much, and we never knew his backstory because no one cared to ask why he was with his grandma. He kept it hidden so he wouldn’t be seen as different. He stood up and fought, and he was brave even when he was scared, which is real bravery to me. To me, that’s what real bravery is. It’s one thing to be brave and not scared; it’s another to be brave when you’re terrified.

I considered Dobby and although his death was rough to get over I was more upset when Fred died. Good point about Neville though, he definitely went through the best development throughout the whole series

I was so sad when Fred died. So sad. And I read from a J.K Rowling interview George never recovered. He married Angelina, and they had three kids, one named Fred, but apparently he was never the same.

I can only imagine. I feel like losing a sibling would be bad enough but they were literally inseperable

Hmm… This is a tough question. I haven’t actually read the books in so many years that it’s difficult to remember them. *is currently watching ‘Chamber of Secrets* To be honest, I would have to pick the twins, too. The rest of the men in the series are kind of boring in my opinion. :p

That’s exactly why I’m rereading now I hardly remember anything. But yes, I do love the twins!

I think people like them because they’re the comedic relief of the series. It’s hard not to love them. :p
