I was scrolling through Facebook one day, when one of my friends (who typically doesn’t post much) shared an article about a group of men that were “Pro Rape.”
That already has so many things wrong with it, but I decided to read more. Apparently this so called “Men’s Rights” group was planning to meet in Chicago to discuss the difficulties that they face as men. (Because we all know that being a part of the majority is so damn hard).
These men hate women, yet they keep trying to date them and they’re attempts are unsuccessful. Honestly, if you’re pro rape then you have already deemed yourself undateable. Basically this is a group of men who can’t get a date with women so they want to make rape legal. They believe that the “violent taking of women” should be made legal as long as it is done in a private place.
We’ll get to that in a second, but on top of that, a part of their initiative is this belief that they have “a right to procreate.” Um…no actually. Having a child is a privilege not a right and if you believe that rape is okay and you are clearly unable to have a normal relationship with a woman, then you obviously can’t take care of a child either. For some reason (at least in the U.S.) a rapist is able to sue their victim for custody of the child. I don’t know who the hell thought that made sense but it really just adds to the problem. What if one of these “pro rape” idiots fathers a baby girl? Then what? He’s not going to take care of her and that child will be forced to live a terrible life.
People like this are exactly what is wrong with the world. Maybe if you weren’t a terrible person, you wouldn’t have a problem dating women or getting laid for that matter. Not to mention this stupid argument that rape should be legal as ling as its done in private. If you murder someone on private property, you have still committed a crime and therefore deserve to be punished for that crime.
So this gathering in Chicago was supposed to happen earlier this month, but was cancelled when a women’s boxing club threatened to show up. The “men” no longer felt safe so they cancelled their plans. How pathetic is that? This whole initiative is absolutely ridiculous and disgusting. You do not have the right to another human being’s body nor do you deserve to bring children into to the world. This is a prime example of one of the many things wrong with the world and of how our society has such a long way to go.

This is so good!! I love the murder-rape comparison.
I feel, sometimes, that being raped must be kind of like being killed, in some ways.

Thank you! And seriously you’re having everything stripped from you either way. I still cannot believe that people would try to fight for this.

I think one of their leaders was planning to come out here to Australia, but his visa got banned because there were such an outrage! I’m not sure though if it’s the same group, but I did hear about them backing out when the women’s boxing group said they were going to show up,lol
