The Secret Life of a Book Blogger

This is the first time I’ve been tagged for this so I’m really excited:

How long have you been a blogger?

I have been blogging for less than two months and really wish that I had started sooner! It’s been going well so far, better than I would’ve ever expected, so I can’t complain 🙂

At what point do you think you’ll stop blogging?

NEVERRRR! At least not anytime soon. I’ll graduated soon so hopefully I’ll be able to continue after that. I would be really sad if I had to stop. I like to stick to things once I start so I would like to get a few years of experience in.

What’s the best thing about blogging?

Getting to talk to other bookworms! I have very few friends that read often, so it’s nice to talk to other people who are like me.

What’s the worst thing about blogging?

Right now, there isn’t a ‘worst’ thing. I don’t feel pressure to post, I just do it because I can and because I want to. I mean, that’s the point of a hobby right?! You should be able to make up your own rules and it should be fun not stressful.

How long does it take to find/create pictures for your posts?

I recently started ‘creating’ my own pictures (but I don’t always). It doesn’t take that long once you figure out which font and colors you want because you just stick to that. I’m also not super tech savvy or anything so I really only make featured images. I haven’t gotten to the level of putting them in my posts yet.

Who is your book crush?

Peeta Mellark duh!… And maybe Four, I like Four ❤

What author would you like to have on your blog?

Jodi Picoult! I love her work and I have so many questions that I want to ask her. She is my absolute favorite author and I think that I could learn so much from her.

OR Veronica Roth! She’s young and spunky. I follow her on twitter and she’s pretty funny and down to earth…I would also like to ask why she ended Allegiant the way she did…. 😉

What do you wear when you write your blog posts?

Well, you know how some people read the paper while they drink their coffee? Well I check WordPress while I drink mine! So typically pajamas in the morning and before I read at night.

How long does it take you to prepare?

Depends on what I’m posting about. Book reviews probably take longest because I need to get all my thoughts in order. Next would be tags and such because I usually have to find book covers/answer all of the question. So far, This or That doesn’t take too long, maybe 15 minutes max. And during random posts I just blurt out my thoughts which doesn’t take long at all.

How do you feel about the book blogger community?

I think it’s great! I wish that I knew all of you in person. I felt so welcomed and supported when I first started and it was really encouraging. IT made me want to continue and get better.

What should be done to achieve a successful blog?

First and foremost, have fun. Don’ be afraid to put yourself out there and the rest will fall into place.
