Day 14 – Book turned movie and completely desecrated

Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks.

So someone told me that they loved this movie and I stared at them like they had four heads. Then I realized that they had never read the book. The book is amazing and includes too many important elements that are left out of the movie. Obviously, the movie is never as good as the book but with this one, it’s a complete trainwreck. If you have read the book, don’t watch the movie unless you want to be extremely disappointed.

  1. I didn’t think the movie was that bad in comparison to the book lol but maybe it was because I didn’t expect it to be as good so I enjoyed it a bit more. I try not to go into book turned movie movies with any expectation of them being similar.
